Love Actually Contest

We love love and we think there should be more of it, especially at this time of the year with winter closing in and the weather getting gloomy. Love can make the world a little less harsh in whatever form it takes.

Presenting the ‘Love Actually’ contest.

We want your stories about love in all its varieties – romantic, familial, friendly, caring, comforting or even obsessive.

Photo prompts for the contest can be found in the next post.

The Rules

- The story must involve love as its dominant theme. We don’t have to have a happy ending, but we’d at least like a hopeful one.

- Lemons are acceptable, but we’d like to have a story to go with the smut. All pairings/characters are acceptable.

- All entries must derive from one of the photo prompts - show us your best interpretations.

- Collaborations are acceptable, but no more than two entries per person/collaboration.

- All ratings are welcome and all entries must be between 2000 and 10000 words.

- Entries must be an independent one-shot, no outtakes or continuations of previous fics will be accepted. Your entry should not be continued until the contest is over.

- Entries must meet a minimum standard of spelling and grammar. Betas are your friends and we recommend that you use one.

- No entries containing rape, bestiality, paedophilia or incest will be accepted into the contest. The entries will be screened by us before they are posted.

All entries must remain anonymous. This is in the interests of fairness in the contest, so please do not let anyone know which entry is yours until the contest is over and the winners have been announced.

The contest is open for entries from Monday 4^th October to midnight on Monday 1^st November.
Public voting will take place from Thursday 4^th November to Thursday 11^th November.
Winners will be announced a week after Friday 19^th November.

Winners of the public and judges’ vote will receive custom banners made by FrozenSoldier.
